Welcome back to Gaming with Gage, your podcast for Roleplaying Games and the Periphery.

Thanks for being here

And thank you all for the feedback we’ve been receiving in our Discord. If you still haven’t joined our Discord, you can find the full cast there. It’s also where we do all of our interviews and occasionally run online gaming sessions.

This week I got the chance to chat with Jordan Caves-Callarman who is, among many other things, the Game Master for Wildcards, a Savage Worlds live stream on Saving Throw Show. For those unfamiliar with Jordan’s work, Wildcards has just finished up multi year Deadlands Reloaded campaign and has just started their new East Texas University campaign.

This episode was recorded well in advance so you’re going to hear me react very strongly to the news that Jordan’s plan was to run ETU, my favorite setting. You can catch the show Fridays at 8:00PM Pacific on http://twitch.tv/savingthrowshow or at Genghis Con in Denver, where I have been informed a bunch of the cast will be in attendance.

Thanks for being here

And thanks to all of you have been listening to our new Actual Play. If you haven’t joined our Discord, you can actually find the full cast there. It’s also where we do all of our interviews and occasionally run online gaming sessions.

This week I got the chance to chat with Sean Nittner, Director of Projects at Evil Hat Productions and host of twitch.tv/actualplay. We spent a lot of time talking about exciting projects for 2019 including For The Queen a card-based story-building game that you can start playing in minutes. Fans of the show will recognize the game’s designer Alex Roberts  from her appearance on this show. We loved Star-Crossed, even did a little AP  of it, and we’re super excited to try this game out.

We also talked about Improv for Gamers, a book of practical tools to bring to your gaming experience and for all you Blades fans the recently announced Band of Blades.

Welcome back to Gaming with Gage, your podcast for Roleplaying Games and the Periphery.

Thanks for being here

And welcome back to our Where’s Agatha Actual Play series! If this is your first time here I recommend you join our Discord, where we do all of our interviews, you can chat with the cast  and occasionally run online gaming sessions.

This is going to be session 3 of Where’s Agatha? our Savage Worlds game in the universe of our Who's Agatha? Actual Play from last season. This separate yet connected story follows a down and out police detective who gets mixed up with a Faerie searching for his sister in the strange and magical land of Boston. You can find the entirety of Who’s Agatha? and Where’s Agatha? on Our Website.

Last session Max and Goathair had a run in with Arethusa, the Faerie Knight of the Air Kingdom and Max’s new crush. Luckily for our boys, Arethusa needed a favor and was willing to overlook Goathair’s indiscretion if they were willing look into a contact, Aurora. After making a deal with Arethusa, the boys were back on the case of finding a woman for Goathair’s old friend Jasper. Thanks to Max’s incredible sleuth skills, they were quickly able to find Agatha Nolan, the blooded woman that so many find intriguing. Now they’re back at the office to prep for a trip to Callahan’s.

Alan Bahr

Welcome back to Gaming With Gage, your podcast for Roleplaying Games and the periphery!

Thanks for being here.

This week I have a lot going on so I’m going to keep this short and sweet.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Alan Bahr, owner of Gallant Knight Games and the incredibly popular Tiny D6 system.

Alan was a wonderful guest and we got into game design philosophy and how mechanics can really capture the feel of a genre.

Where's Agatha Session 2

Welcome back to Gaming with Gage, your podcast for Roleplaying Games and the Periphery.

Thanks for being here.

And welcome back to our Where’s Agatha Actual Play series! If this is your first time here I recommend you join our Discord, where we do all of our interviews, you can chat with the cast  and occasionally run online gaming sessions.

This is going to be session 2 of Where’s Agatha? our Savage Worlds game in the universe of our Who's Agatha? Actual Play from last season. This separate yet connected story follows a down and out police detective who gets mixed up with a Faerie searching for his sister in the strange and magical land of Boston. You can find both our session zero and session 1 on Our Website.

Last session Goathair was visited by an old friend, Jasper, who had a favor to hold over him. The request was simple. Find a woman with only a picture and a name, Agatha. The only complication being that Jasper last met this woman in 1885. After a preliminary investigation, all the clues pointed them to a number of local universities as well as a strange incident on Summer Street. As our heroes “hit the streets” they stumbled upon the last person Goathair would ever want to see, Arethusa Faerie Knight of the Air Kingdom.

Chris Hussey

Welcome back to Gaming with Gage, your podcast for Roleplaying Games and the Periphery.

Thanks for being here

And thank you so much for all of the feedback on the new Actual Play. APs were never part of the original show concept and it’s been so cool to see the interest in it grow. If you haven’t already, I recommend you join our Discord! The whole cast is there to chat with and answer any questions you might have. It’s also where we do all of our interviews and occasionally run online gaming sessions.

Speaking of interviews, this episode features guest Chris Hussey, Marshal and Editor of The Adventures of Young & Holt, a Deadlands Reloaded Actual Play podcast, and, if I may say so, a right sexy man. If it’s not already clear, aside from writing in the RPG industry for over 25 years, co hosting Fear The Boot and producing all manner of other content, Chris is also a friend of mine. If you aren’t already listening to The Adventures of Young & Holt check the show notes for a link to “The Tale So Far” so you can catch up.

Also, one of you kind listeners nominated us for Morrus’s Favorite RPG Podcasts of 2018.This was completely unexpected and heartwarming. If you’d like to vote for us or any of the other amazing shows in the poll, check out the link the show notes. You have until Tuesday, January 8th 2019.

Where's Agatha Session 1

Welcome back to Gaming with Gage, your podcast for Roleplaying Games and the Periphery.

Thanks for being here

And thank you for being here the launch of our brand new AP! If this is your first time here I recommend you join our Discord, where we do all of our interviews, you can chat with the cast  and occasionally run online gaming sessions.

This week is the beginning of Where’s Agatha? our Savage Worlds game in the universe of our Who's Agatha? Actual Play from last season. We’ve worked hard to make this series a connected but independent story from our Who’s Agatha? Actual Play so if this is your first episode, feel free to jump right in.  If you haven’t already listened to our Session Zero, that may be helpful.

Where’s Agatha? covers the story of a down and out police detective who gets mixed up with a Faerie searching for his sister in the strange and magical land of Boston. Throw in a Faerie Knight, a Mob Boss and a house cat or two and things just might get a little wicked.
